“Our experience of remodeling our basement with HillStone Construction was by far in the excellent category. During the bidding and planning process, Alex Hill met with us on several occasions and never once pressured us into a start date all the while patiently working with us as we changed and tweaked our plan for several months. The estimated bid was extremely thorough and the billing process throughout the project was spelled out in an excel spreadsheet outlining what we had paid for and what was yet to be billed. Once the project began we watched a well oiled machine begin to run full steam. Each day the job site was left in good order, requests were promptly attended to and the workmanship met our high expectations. Our onsite Contractor from HillStone, Michael Gouldener, who managed our project was by far the best we have worked with, showing up each morning right on time, making sure everything was getting ordered in a timely fashion and overseeing the sub contractors' work to code standards. On several occasions I was impressed with the extra effort and excellence of HillStone's work; for example, a cleaning crew came in before the project was done because we had some out of town guests visiting, the smallest details were addressed like paint spots and caulking, a brick walkway that had been partially removed for plumbing was re-installed on a Saturday and a minor problem with the flooring was addressed until the issue was resolved. We highly recommend HillStone Construction and will use them again in the future.”
